Kayak Hire

Take a kayak for a leisurely paddle up the Torridge estuary towards the iron bridge at Landcross. Enjoy the peace and beauty of Devon's countryside from a different perspective. The sit on kayaks are very stable and buoyant, ideal for the beginner to experience the fun of paddling on open water.

We also cater for larger groups including school/corporate outings and hen & stag parties, so if your looking for something a bit different to do with a group of friends or colleagues give us a ring and we'll make it happen.

Kayak Hire Prices

Hourly Rates
£10.00 for the first hour, then £5.00 for each hour thereafter.

Daily Rate (24 hours)
£30.00 for singles. £50.00 for doubles/Canadian.

Children under 14 are half the adult price.
Paddles and buoyancy aids are supplied free of charge.

Please Note: The estuary is tidal and the ideal times to paddle from our slipway are an hour or two before high tide, this time varies from day to day so please check a local tide table or give us a ring for more information (01237 424123).

Its integral backrest makes for a very comfortable and efficient ride. A second small seat at the front allows for paddling with a child on calm water. An elegant hull lets beginners easily take up surfing and improve their technique. The Mojito’s stability will entice larger paddlers to explore sea coast, lakes and rivers with complete confidence. Rockhopping is 'close to shore' saltwater paddling: short trips and playing the sea, calm or wild. Rocky coastlines, blue skies, rock gardens, swells, surf, tides and tide races - all combining to ensure the perfect rockhopping experience.

The Rockhopper’s unique hull shape provides high stability and extreme manoeuvrability, an ideal combination for close shore exploration in wind and wave. Although the Rockhopper is aimed at those with the skills required to kayak in extreme conditions, the high stability means the kayak can also be used by beginners (who may find conventional sea kayaks unstable and difficult to manoeuvre).
